Palace Hotel was raised on the former location of Sinaia Hotel and the Riegler Sweetshop, both destroyed during a devastating fire.
The hotel figures among the most important national monuments, and its architect, Petre Antonescu, is acknowledged as one of the leading figure in the Romanian School of Architecture.
