오데이온은 3부분

 1) The Cavea (Auditorium)

 2) The Orchestra (place of action for the actors)

 3) The skene (the stage building) 으로 나뉘어지며,

 2세기에 세워진 오데이온은 에페소 원형대극장에 비해서는 규모가 작지만, 1,400명을 수용할 수 잇는 건물로 도시의 행정관들인 상원의원들의 집회 장소이자 콘서트나 강연 등의 목적으로 사용되었다.아래 쪽의 좌석들은 잘보존되어 있으며, 계단 옆 부분에 새겨진 그리핀(머리와 날개는 독수리이고 몸은 사자인 괴물)의 발 모양은 오데이온의 아름다움을 더해 준다. 당시에는 지붕이 있었으나 현재는 찾아보기가 어렵다. 중앙에는 소리가 잘 울리는 지점이 있어 그 곳에서 노래를 부르면 울려 퍼져 콘서트나 강연장, 회의장으로 이용이 되었었다. 지금의 오디오라는 단어도 그리스어로 음악당이라는 뜻인 오데이온에서 생겨났다고 한다.

The Bouleuterion housed the meetings of the council (boule) as well as musical performances & contests. The originally roofed semi-circular auditorium is bonded to a stage wall. The building was erected around A.D. 100. In A.D. 150, Publius Vedius Antoninus sponsored a new stage building which displayed a portrait gallery of the Imperial family & letters of Emperor Antoninus Pius (A.D. 138-161)
