St. George's Chapel

St. George's Chapel, a magnificent 15th century building in which the banners of the Knights of the Garter can be seen, is normally open Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm.

 

The Chapel is the burial place of ten British monarchs and continues to play an important part in the religious and ceremonial life of the country.

 

The Chapel is also open to anybody wishing to attend a Service of Worship on any day of the week; the normal Service pattern is as follows:

 

Sunday

8.30am     Holy Communion

10.45am   Mattins

12 noon   Holy Communion

5.15pm    Evening Service

 

Monday to Saturday

7.30am    Mattins

8.00am    Holy Communion

12 noon   Holy Communion (Fridays only)

5.15pm    Evening Service
