절벽에서 루치네강(Lütschine River)으로 떨어지는 직하형 폭포이며, 평균너비는 15m. 높이는 309m

스위스에서 9번째로 높은 폭포이며, '흩날리는 물'이라는 뜻이다.

The Staubbachfall is probably one of the most photographed waterfall in Switzerland. With a vertical fall of 300 meters it is also an impressing one. The flow can vary a lot, but when there is enough water coming down this is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Switzerland.

Undoubtedly the Lauterbrunnen valley is the number 1 valley for waterfalls in Switzerland. There are high waterfalls, there are powerful waterfalls and there is a special waterfall in a cave. Besides that Lauterbrunnen is a very nice village which a perfect base for hikes.

The Staubbachfall is located in the center of  Lauterbrunnen and is visible from several viewpoints.

In the direct surrounding there are so many other nice waterfalls: Sefinefall, Talbachfall, Holdrifall, Schmadribachfall (tip), Trummelbachfall (tip), Spissbachfall, Muerenbachfall.
