Beer pipeline (Bierpijplijn)

The Halve Maan Brewery got worldwide press with the commissioning of a 3276m long beer pipeline. Running from here on the Walplein under the Bruges cobblestones to the Waggelwater where the bottling plant is located. This 'zot'(crazy) project was carried out because of the rising demand for beer versus the imminent logistical problems of transport in the historic city of Bruges. Thanks to a lagre group of crowdfunders the project was made possible. With this community the pipeline was inaugurated in September 2016
