New Place was William Shakespeare's home for 19 years before his death in 1616.

During these years, he wrote 26 of his 37 plays, including The Tempest, Hamlet and Macbeth.

 

The house was destroyed in the 18th century, but a creative new project is re-imagining the site so you can walk in Shakespeare's footsteps and gain a new understanding of his life.
